I grew up in Arlington, MA, attended various alternative/hippie/cultish schools, then escaped to Vermont in order to attend UVM and generally avoid reality for a bit. I live in a 3 bedroom house that I don't spend nearly enough time in because I always seem to be working. But it allows my cats plenty of room to run around and cause mischief, so they are pretty excited about the move.
I went corporate about 5 years ago, and have to admit I love it.
"Reality is not digital, an on-off state, but analog. Something gradual. In other words, reality is a quality that things possess in the same way that they possess, say, weight. Some people are more real than others, for example. It has been estimated that there are only about five hundred real people on any given planet, which is why they keep unexpectedly running into one another all the time."
